Kian Cham
Kian Cham is an ACE-certified personal trainer, breath coach and martial artist based in Nanaimo, BC who works with clients locally in-person, and internationally online.
Over the last two decades, Kian has coached sports including roller derby and basketball, instructed karate classes to youth and adults, and facilitated qi/ki and breath workshops throughout British Columbia including at the University of Victoria, and Pearson World College.
In his formative years, Kian was a competitive karate athlete as a 3-time national gold medalist and a PanAmerican silver medalist. It is from this experience - following the guidance of his wonderful coaches - he learned to develop a deep understanding of human movement with an eye for kinaesthetic detail.
Kian is an EMMA Talks speaker, and has published writing in Radiant Voices (2019), and Joyful Miltancy: Building Thriving Resistance in Toxic Times (2017). He understands movement practices are a study toward embodiment that can help guide us toward harmonious relationships even in moments of conflict - in ourselves, among our family, friends, and in our communities.

Kian's training style is collaborative, compassionate and creative. He loves working with a wide range of clients to develop and integrate movement practices that enhance unique strengths beyond perceived limitations.
